HAVE YOU HEARD OF SAFE SPACE?

As taxi drivers, you are the eyes and ears of the Brighton streets, especially late at night when people might need our help.
If you come across anyone who needs support, rather than taking them to A&E or calling 999 you could bring them into SAFE SPACE!

At SAFE SPACE we help people who have become distressed, lost, vulnerable, intoxicated or injured during their night out, offering emotional / practical / medical support, even if they just need to charge their phone or sit down and chill out for a bit. All our staff have received the ASIST suicide intervention skills training.

SAFE SPACE is open every Friday & Saturday night from 11pm - 3.30am @ St Paul’s Church, West Street.

In a nutshell, see infograph to see what we do
Here’s what people have said about us:

• “A huge thank you to Safe Space for taking care of me last night. I have never been that drunk before and I’m feeling very embarrassed by the state I allowed myself to get into. You guys are doing an amazing job. I honestly don’t know what would have happened to me if you weren’t there for me. I can’t thank you enough.”
• “I came into Safe Space very distressed on Saturday night and a lovely member of your team really helped me after I lost all my friends and had no idea where I was.  It’s amazing that there are organisations like this to help vulnerable people out.”
Many thanks for supporting Safe Space, and helping us to help keep vulnerable people in Brighton safe.
